il 18 e 19 November 2022 two violin and harpsichord master classes will be held in the Franciscan library of Santa Maria di Betlem held by the masters Tommaso Luison and Willem Peerik.

We are happy to be able to host these two musicians with the Galán academy who will also meet the students of the musical high school on the occasion of their concert for the Note senza tempo festival “D.A. Azuni”.  Places for the two masterclasses are limited as the time that can be dedicated to lessons is reduced to just two days.

Thomas Luison, violinist and musicologist, he is a multifaceted musician and dedicates himself to various repertoires, from ancient to contemporary music.
Graduated with top marks from the Vicenza Conservatory, under the leadership of Giovanni Guglielmo, he later perfected himself with Domenico Nordio, Ilya Grubert and with Enzo Porta. In the chamber music field he trained at the Trio School of Trieste, by Konstantin Bogino and the Altenberg Trio. It carries out
solo and chamber music activities and collaborates as Concertmaster with orchestras such as the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, Petruzzelli Lyric Theater of Bari, Regional Orchestra Philharmonia Veneta. He has played in ensembles such as Trio Malipiero, Musagete Ensemble, The Calandria, Ensemble Concordanze, Italian Philharmonic Soloists, holding concerts in
Europa, United States and Asia. In the 2008, competition winner, he permanently joined the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale Foundation of Bologna, where he works until 2021. He dedicates himself to the in-depth study of baroque performance practice, with particular reference to the Tartini School. In the 2009 he graduated in Literature and Philosophy with top marks and honors from the University of Padua. He participates in international musicology conferences and as curator at the National Edition of Tartini's works for Bärenreiter. He carries out activities to disseminate violin teaching and themes related to the violin in Italy through a popular channel on YouTube. From the academic year 2021/2022 he is a tenured violin teacher at the “E. F. Dall'Abaco” of Verona.

Willem Peerik, born in Holland, began his musical studies at the age of 7 years with the piano, graduating from the Utrecht Conservatory. In the 1992 he moved to Italy to follow piano specialization courses at the “G. Rossini” in Pesaro where he graduated with top marks. In addition to a busy piano activity, he also dedicated himself to ancient music, undertaking the study of harpsichord at the same Conservatory, graduating in 2007 brilliantly with full marks and honours. Willem Peerik to a very busy and eclectic activity. He teaches piano at the “iNMusica” school in Pesaro, he collaborates as an accompanist pianist/harpsichordist at the “G. Rossini”, he is assistant teacher of the flute class at the “Incontri col Maestro” Academy in Imola. Dal 2002 he is the musical and artistic director of the “Jubilate” Polyphonic Choir of Candelara (PU) and from 2004 he is artistic director of the ancient music festival 'Musicae Amoeni Loci'.
