Where we stopped?

To try to understand the greatness of an event like the Note senza tempo International Festival of Ancient Music, I always like to remember the impact it had in the previous two years:

16 concert events.

90 artists involved.

Professionalization of masterclasses for young musicians.

Days of in-depth study.

Circa 150 people for each event (for a total of approximately 2000 people in these two years).

Collaboration with numerous city and regional institutions.

Agreements with hoteliers and restaurateurs to host artists.

Despite the terrible year, we have always been confident that we will be able to restart with renewed vigor, even if this year the difficulties were much greater than in previous editions. The economic cuts we had to suffer were significant, but this year we will still be able to organize a high-level concert season in Sassari, increasingly inserting the city into the network of international festivals and encouraging the mobility of artists between the different festivals. An important commitment, supported by great professionalism within the association and by the numerous students and graduates who enthusiastically participate in it, strength and spirit of sacrifice, helps us in this adventure.

We are also pleased to confirm the institutional collaboration with the State Conservatory of Music for the third consecutive year “L. Canepa” of Sassari and with the Palestrina Symphony Orchestra of Cagliari. This pleases us because we believe that collaborations should become increasingly closer. This year, as well as hosting the Conservatory orchestra “L. Canepa”, we will be guests in the Sassu room for the presentation of Maria Borghe's book“Yes, Italian Reception of JSBach”, with a speech by Maestro Mariano Meloni, director of the State Conservatory of Music “L. Canepa” of Sassari, and the prof. Gian Nicola Spanu, professor of music history at the State Conservatory of Music “L. Canepa” of Sassari.

This year, several collaborations with international festivals are planned in other cities and countries, just think of the Timishoara ancient music festival, at the Brianza festival, a Music of the Pleasant Place e a Note&Flavors of European Baroque, which allow circulation and mobility of artists and ensembles between festivals.

Collaboration with the JSBach.it portal it is very precious: as well as following our events on their social channels, will guide us in listening to the concerts through musicological pills and presentations of the works we will listen to.

From you, the support and trust you have shown us over these years, a truly precious contribution that has allowed us to continue dreaming and never stop!

Our hope is to be able to enjoy live music more and more as a unique and unrepeatable moment, never taken for granted, always difficult to research and chased by musicians. The moment the musician lives for, knowing that it will be shared by those who know how to capture it.

For the rest, all you have to do is sit back and listen.
